Middlebury Public Library's Vision for the Future

MIDDLEBURY PUBLIC LIBRARY

VISION for the FUTURE

Educate, Enlighten, Entertain

Thanks to generous public donations, a state grant, and town funds, Middlebury Public Library hopes to expand and renovate the building to provide additional services requested by our community.

Future expansion plans include a quiet reading room, a multipurpose room for adult crafts and book clubs, a designated teen area, study rooms, a larger capacity community room with a surround sound theater system and kitchenette, free Wi-Fi throughout the building, an expanded area for parents and children, and additional restrooms. The Friends of the Library will utilize the new space on the lower level.

We are very excited about this possible expansion.  Upon the completion of this project, programs will include interesting book talks for adults and children, weekly new-release movies, creative arts and crafts programs, story times for many age groups, and teen events.  Information is available in various formats, and technology will continue to be upgraded as funds allow.  Affordable printing and faxing will remain a valuable service to the public.

Our web site, www.middleburypubliclibrary.org, will remain current as a vital source for public updates.
