Library Expansion Project Passes

On Tuesday, December 18^th residents of Middlebury voted to approve a plan to expand the Middlebury Public Library, a project which will be completed by Nosal Builders Inc. of Durham. The expansion includes plans for a quiet reading room, an expanded storytelling/program area, an expanded public performance room, a multipurpose room, dedicated study rooms, a new teen area, an expanded computer instruction area, and additional bathrooms. During the renovation process, the library has an agreement in place to temporarily relocate to the Timex Building at 199 Park Road Extension Suite D, Middlebury, CT 06762. The library will be closed to the public for a short period of time, beginning on Wednesday, January 2^nd, 2013, and will re-open its operation on Tuesday, January 22^nd, 2013 at the Timex Building.
